Tunisia has a warm Mediterranean climate all year around. Being a southern Mediterranean country, it enjoys a more stable and sunnier climate than neighboring countries on the north shores of the Mediterranean.
Winter is mild and has the highest rainfall. Summer is sunny and hot.
Compared to the inland areas in Tunisia, the coastal areas are even milder in the winter and cooler in the summer.
On a hot summer day in downtown Tunis the area of Gammarth remains pretty cool thanks to the fresh breeze coming from its wide and very long beach.
